How our Matching System Works
1) Choose Single or Multiplayer
Single player to swipe for a match, multiplayer for a group date.
2) Single Player: Swipe. Match with Someone
Traditional swipe system. Unlimited swipes, one match.
3) Match Lock: Once Matched, your Profile is Locked
After matching you will be able to chat, call, or facetime. Your card will still be shown to the public, however you wont be able to match with anyone else. In due event you un-match, the last person who swiped on you, that you also swiped on, will then match with you. If they are in a match, another will be chosen who also swiped on you. In group dates, your profile banner will shown as matched with someone.
4) Multiplayer: Choose Your Group Size
New - Group Dates! Select date party size, invite friends or queue up to find a wingman.
5) Map: Pick What Activity and Where
Vote on an activity, then choose a location in your local area.

Our Mission
Millions of people already use dating apps, but the majority of users are having a bad time. At 3rd Space Dating, Our goal is to help you find someone, help you meet them, and let you live your life.
Why I chose to build 3rd Space
Dating apps were supposed to make connecting easier. Instead, now many people feel overwhelmed, overlooked, and more disconnected than ever.
For over 2,000 years most people's dating pool was limited to the town they were living in, or the town they moved to. As a guy, you asked a girl out in person. You would call or hangout in local areas. Only celebrities, models, or the wealthy had the ability to talk with multiple men or women. Fast forward to 2012 and my estimate is that the average women has about 500 matches waiting for them in their inbox, from anywhere in the state, sometimes around the world, making it difficult to give any one conversation real attention. Due to the current dating app algorithms, this imbalance has been intensified by repeatedly showing many women the same small group of highly attractive or popular men. Those men receive a disproportionate amount of attention and may be less motivated to commit to any one person (aka hypergamy). When those experiences end in cheating, or lying, some women may come away believing that most men are liars or cheaters. Meanwhile, the majority of men may struggle to receive even a handful of matches or secure an in-person date. They are then judged by the behavior of the relatively small group of men receiving most of the attention, despite having had a completely different experience on the apps. In this way, dating-app algorithms contribute to growing resentment between men and women. They can distort people’s perception of the dating market, create unrealistic expectations (aka every girl that's decent looking and on social media deserves a 6ft tall, blue eyed man making 7 figures), and make it harder for sincere, relationship-minded people to find one another. Bans and shadow bans can make the situation even worse. Users may suddenly lose access to their matches, conversations, and accounts after spending months or years building their profile history and standing within the platform’s algorithm—sometimes referred to as an “Elo score.” Having all of that erased by an AI bot, often with little explanation or opportunity to appeal, can feel like being placed on house arrest within the digital dating world. I personally had this happen to me firsthand, after being on the platform for years since the app was released. I went from having some matches, to using Tinder gold and getting more, to then getting Platinum and receiving 400 genuine, great matches in a day only to be banned over night for "failing to follow policies".
Because of this, I started thinking about what a dating platform would look like if it were designed around attention instead of endless choice.
That idea became 3rd Space Dating. The inspiration for the name came from 3rd spaces, which were places were people would primarily hang out or meet in the old days.
The concept is simple: once two people match, they step away from the matching pool and focus on one active connection. They can message, call, or video chat without constantly wondering who else might be one swipe away. The goal is to help people move through a healthier process:
Match. Connect. Decide.
I also wanted to make dating more social and less intimidating. That is why 3rd Space Dating includes gamified group-date lobbies, where groups of men and women can form teams, choose a location, and meet through a shared experience. Think of it like joining a multiplayer lobby—but instead of starting a game, you are planning a real night out.
3rd Space Dating is currently a pre-launch concept. The app screens and features shown on this website represent the vision I am working to validate and build.
Rather than quietly developing another dating app and hoping people want it, I am sharing the idea publicly and inviting future users to help shape it from the beginning.
